This month Agencia Change launched a rolling survey to gather and share insights on change management challenges and priorities. Since launching the survey, we've been gaining a growing insight into what change professionals are thinking about, and working on, in their change practice. In this Saturday Catch-up we look at your most pressing change challenges and priorities and introduce some key resources to help.
We kicked off the conversation on 22 October 2024 with Change Management Challenges and Priorities, covering some common hurdles, and explore emerging trends, tools and techniques for working with contemporary change challenges and priorities.
One pressing issue for change practitioners delivering large scale programs is not having enough change resources. In Not enough Change Resources - At Scale, published 23 October 2024, we shared some strategies to help forge ahead with change during times of low resourcing in large enterprises.
Next we discussed Adaptive Leadership: A Flexible Approach to Navigating Change as adaptive leadership was a trend you mentioned in our survey. It's an established leadership concept that has been gaining renewed recognition in the context of recent rapid technology and societal shifts. It emphasises the importance of leaders being able to adapt their strategies and behaviours to meet the unique challenges and opportunities presented by changing circumstances. Published 24 October, 2024.
Respondents also raised the challenge of being able to explain change management to executives. On 25 October we posted Executive Summary: What is Change Management and shared how while it's theoretically possible for organisations to have a series of happy accidents -whereby a complex array of change impacts falls into place without disruption or incident - it is highly unlikely.
On October 26 we looked into another area of interest coming from survey respondents as we shared Uncovering the Connection: Design Thinking and Change Management. Design thinking and change management are two approaches that many of us have played with combining. This blog post examines the connection between these two disciplines, highlighting current trends that bring them together and offering practical insights for practitioners and leaders in organisations.
And that's your priorities in order for this Saturday Catch-Up: Change Challenges and Priorities
